What will happen this week?

If you can answer this question then I want to meet you. I personally don't know what will happen this week. We do have an important election coming up on Tuesday and the outcome is yet to be seen. If we knew what was going to happen, then there would be no need for elections. True? I really feel like that, we Christians, have a huge responsibility over the next four years no matter who are leader will be. Prayer is the only way that I can help our leaders!! I will be a good citizen but first I will represent God. When I go to the polls on Tuesday, I will not be voting for either candidate, however, I will be voting the way the Lord wants me to vote. My heart and soul will not be good if I don't vote my Christian values. I am not a huge political person nor do I claim to be. I do what I think is good for me, my family and what I will be judged on one day.

Neither party will be happy on Wednesday (that is a given). I pray that peace will stay with each person in our nation. We can look across the ocean and see what violence does for a nation and that is not the answer. I have two children who will be out in this world on Wednesday and for their sake I pray for peace. I pray for them all the time!! To have the wisdom to know what to say to those that oppose our beliefs and not sound critical but loving. I pray that the country will come together move forward and begin to work together.

I call on the Christians around the world to pray. I ask myself how many times in the last 8 years I have prayed for the one I voted in and sadly I can say zero (that I can think right off the top of my head). I have not helped our leader(s) so therefore I to am at fault for what has happened. This time I will be praying that God will touch our leader(s) heart (b/c He is the only one that can change him). God calls on us to pray so that is my job. I am already praying for God to begin His work in the heart of our leader(s). We need God plain and simply.

Will my life change over the next four years? Of course it will, I don't know how and what circumstances will happen to make this change (no political intentions). We are all always wanting change--we want better for our kids than we have (every generation has wanted that), we want change because change is good. The change I want is the change that God will make in my heart-- the changes He wants for me--His plan. I can't look in the future nor do I want to look in the future. I want to live each day as God commands me to live that day!!! I want to live for him and what he has in store. We are blessed as a people to live here in our great nation. We can make a difference.

My one prayer is that more Christians become more "voiced" in what we believe in. The basics of our Christian beliefs. We can and need to make a difference. We will be held accountable one day.

Trust God that He is in control on Tuesday and from that day forward. He wants us with Him!!!

I say bring Tuesday on and lets get going!!!
