We are branching out this weekend. On Sunday after church we are going to join our Sunday School class for a Christmas party and that in itself is a great accomplishment. We have enjoyed our new church that we have been attending for a little over a year now. The kids have been really involved but Chris and I have stayed back from jumping right in. We started attending this SS class about a year ago with the intentions of just going for the message (the same during our worship). We really needed sometime off from "church" not God just "church". Well, we are slowly getting involved and Sunday will be a huge step. There aren't but about 4 couples in our class that even know our name and that would be first name only. One couple knows our first and last name (only because she works in the same school district as I do). What is funny about this Christmas party that we are going to is it is one road over from where we live. They call it "The Farm" --that is the people in our SS class who will be hosting. These folks all seem very nice they just are in a whole different socio-economic bracket then we are. But hey it should be fun. They all know each other very well so we will see how it all goes. I think I am more nervous b/c I don't feel like we fit socially with them. Yes, you may be wondering why do we attend this SS or church. It is like this, we are so blessed by the message and service. I truly believe that God led us there when we just didn't know where to go next. Our kids enjoy it and that was the main reason for going back after the initial visit. Those of you from AL know how much we enjoy friends (and we miss all of you guys) and you are probably saying to yourself this sure doesn't sound like the two we know. You are right!!!

What a Week!!
Well, I started this week with a meeting and finished this week with a meeting. Both of which were extremely draining. So needless to say this week has been one of the longest I have endured in a long time. Don't get me wrong, I do enjoy my job but I don't like non-productive, time consuming meetings. I think my principal has "corrupted" me. When we have meetings at our school they are short and to the point. Okay, I can't complain it is Friday and I am so glad.

One week til Christmas(about) and have I shopped? No, but if I had most of you would think that Christ must be coming back because it is not like me to do anything ahead of time. But that too will get done. I have a plan and it will all be done.
It is time to close. I am going to post some pictures. So look for them!!
