Christmas Season--Here we go!!!
I don't know about you guys but I am stuffed (no pun intended). I enjoy Thanksgiving more than any other holiday. I love spending time with my family and not the rush and stress that other holidays bring. We bring it on our self, that is the stress. I try so hard every year to not be stressed but trying to find that perfect gift within our budget is tooooo much. However, it is here once again. Thanksgiving was so great. My grandmother flew in from Charlotte, I haven't seen her since July when we all went to the beach. I just wish that I could have spent more time with her. She looked so pretty and smelled just like I remember growing up. We were over at my sis' house on Friday (for leftovers--lol) and my nephew's girl-friend comment on the famous banana pudding (that the whole family but me enjoys). My sister said that she watched the whole time Maw-maw was making it and she never used one measuring cup or spoon. A little of this and a little of that!!!! The girl-friend was amazed but you know that is what makes Maw-maw who she is!!!
What was the most exciting event of this holiday? Play a "new" game that I haven't played before, Apples to Apples!!! This game is great:) We played it at both sides of the family after each gathering. We laughed and had a great time.
Okay, I have several pray request that I would like to share with you:
1) One of my friend's husband was diagnosed about two weeks ago with a form of cancer. From what we all understand his form of cancer is very cureable; however, he has to quit his job for the next 6 months. He works in the music world and being in the public is to risky for infection. They need your prayers for his health, their emotional and physical well being, and for their finances. She will be the only provider for her family of four and as we all know a teacher doesn't make near enough to support a family.
2) Another friend of mine is pregnant and due in about 10 weeks. However, her husband lost his job about 1 week ago. This is his second job in less then 5 months that has been cut. So they need your prayers that he will soon get another job and that life remains releatively stress free for her.
3) C and I have two friends that are in the midst of a divorce. We don't know all ends and outs (and we don't need to know) but they need prayers. They have children and the two of them are not getting along at all right now. My prayer for them is that Our Lord will work in them both for the sake of one another and for their beautiful children. I pray that they both seek some type of individual counseling and family counseling. I pray and will conitue to pray for reconcilation. I pray that God puts a dwelling in their hearts that they can look inward and examine themself with open eyes.
Well, I need to do some school work.
I love you all -
d

I totally sympathize with the banana pudding. I love the smell of it, but I just don't like banana's as a whole (though it's the coolest word ever to spell:)
