Summer Where are You?
My title is how I feel--I am tired of the cold weather. I can't stand this coldness everyday. This morning we woke to snow (just falling snow not accumulating snow) but it was cold enough to snow!!! Miss Beasley doesn't even like the cold either.
So what has been going on in my life:
Reading: The Shack -- http://www.theshackbook.com/
I would suggest you read it. I haven't finished it yet and I will say that I am
reading it with an open mind. Some in our SS class suggested it.
Work: Very busy but I am enjoying it more now. Of there are ups and downs but I do like it. I can't wait until March 31st-- M you know why!!!!
College: I am enjoying it too. I am learning some new ideas. Each time I attend class on campus I get that feeling that this is where I am to be. I can't wait until I am teaching at the college level one day.
Jasper: We attending Olivia's 3rd birthday last Saturday. I can't believe that she is 3 and so beautiful. I enjoyed seeing so many of her little friends (and their parents that i never get to see) having a wonderful time. Jasper was another quick trip. In and out in about 24 hours. We got to spend some time with some friends on Saturday night and enjoyed the time so much.
K- She and I went to her HS orientation on Thursday night. I was overwhelmed with emotion but I held it in. I just kept think you should still be little and needing to hold my hand to walk and not walking into this huge place that will allow you to grow up. She is very excited and I am too. She is trying to pick her electives and she is leaning towards art and culinary art. Yes, a chef. She will be taking a dual path that will allow her to have all of her university prep classes and some electives. She is growing up!!! I picked up her driver's test booklet but won't let her have it until the summer. She wasn't happy:) She made the school softball team and will start practice this week.
H- She is getting so tall. I think she will be taller than me by 5th grade:) She will finish up bb this week --her little team has only lost two games and now we head for tournaments. She will start soccer and softball soon. She is still very interested in astronomy. The lunar eclipse on Wednesday night was the highlight of her week. She can't wait until the weather gets a little warmer so we can go out and look every night at the stars. She is big time into flossing right now--yes flossing. To the point that I have to watch her because she is making her mouth sore:) Hannah is enjoying the Jane Austen's series on PBS. She loves Jane and her romance. I think she is my romantic one. I love that she and I can watch it together and she gets most of it. Yes, she is only nine. She wants the two of us to read Pride and Prejudice this summer together.
C- He is doing good and very busy right now. Which is good considering the housing market is not. I guess people are just remodeling and fixing things around their house instead of buying so that is a good thing. He bought a new boat and is fixing it up. He will end up selling this one and making money off it too. He loves doing that though:) He and K have a date all day on Saturday at a Father/Daughter Conference.
Good night all!! I well try to post some pictures this week. Love and Miss you all. I can't wait to see you all sometime.
--I have a comment spot at the end of this blog that --you could send me a message on--that is just a little hint!!!
