Time Never Slows
WOW!! I can't believe it has been a year and half since I have blogged!!! Amazing how time flies and life moves at a fast paste.
We just finished celebrating Thanksgiving. We had a great time together. We chose to stay here in town this year rather than drive to the Carolina's. Times are changing, families are getting bigger and spread out so much. I like change but I don't like change. Change is one of those things we can't stop, we must except but hold on to the traditions to share with our new loved ones that come into our family.
It has been a good past few months. I am back in the classroom teaching first graders and I LOVE IT!! I never thought I would love teaching little ones again but I DO!! I did enjoy my job as a literacy specialist but I think my ultimate goal is to be on the college level when that time comes. For now, being in the classroom with my wonderful students is AWESOME!!
The girls are growing up. I can't stand it either. We started our college visits for Kristin with a lot more to visit. She has falling in love with the only school we have visited -which to me has said she has fallen in love with college. I'm losing my baby girl and I don't like it one bit. I'm savoring these next two years with all I have. Hannah is looking older and acting older. I love watching the changes but know that one day my babies will be bringing their babies to see us.
This time of year is typically not a wonderful time of the year for me like it is for most. I have to mustard up a lot just to make it happy. I look at what all the season has become and it just really irritates me. So I put on my happy face and know that time will pass. Don't get me wrong, I love being around my family and friend but that's were it stops. I would have to say that Thanksgiving is the best of the seasons this time of year. This year (as every year), I will try -try to make the best of it and try to make this one better than the last.
